family of funds
A mutual fund company offering many mutual funds, for various objectives. Usually, investors can move assets between different funds of a family of funds at little or no cost, and can receive a single statement describing their holdings in all the funds in the family of funds. also called mutual fund family or fund family.
A group of mutual funds run by a single company. Fidelity, Vanguard, Janus and many other firms large and small offer fund families, typically including stock, bond and money market funds.
A group of mutual funds operated by the same investment management (mutual fund) company.
