Definition 1.
A market in which commodities, such as grain, gold, crude oil, or RAM chips, are bought and sold for cash and delivered immediately. also called cash market.
Definition 2.
1. A commodities market in which goods are sold for cash and delivered immediately.2. A futures transaction which will expire in 1 month or less.
